Mr. Carver was accepted for admission to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland and to the US Military Academy in West Point, New York. He chose the US Naval Academy and graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. Upon graduation, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps for approximately 5 years and left active duty holding the rank of Captain.

Mr. Carver earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Denver's School of Law in 1994 and has since practiced in state and federal court in Nevada and Colorado, and in Arizona state court. Initially, he was recruited to work for Marquis & Aurbach, PC - a Nevada commercial litigation/real estate development law firm. While at Marquis & Aurbach, Mr. Carver served on the Lied Institute's Real Estate Committee developing and updating various Nevada statutes which regulate the real estate industry. He taught real estate law as an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He also wrote a monthly legal column for Broker/Agent Magazine of Nevada.

Mr. Carver has worked on a number of major residential development projects, some with over 2,000 homes, multiple golf courses and numerous sub-developers including American Nevada Corporation's Las Vegas/Henderson Green Valley Ranch development. He worked on a number of commercial development projects including the Hard Rock Hotel expansion in Las Vegas. As lead counsel, he has worked on, among other cases, significant and high profile commercial litigation and real estate development litigation cases and defended clients in sizeable governmental condemnation actions.

Mr. Carver is an avid skier, enjoys most Colorado outdoor activities, and loves anything to do with the mountains. He supports, among other causes, the protection of wildlife habitat and the prevention of cruelty to animals.
